Training,Day 12/ Posted Day 13
In some ways I really love this town. Yes most of the people are preppy and stuck up but there are some that are very nice. The main thing I love about this town is it's sense of it's own history. The people of Bay City are really working on making this a tourist town full of life and history. During the summer months there is so much to see and do. Yesterday I went downtown to check out the annual Downtown Bay City Sidewalk Days. I parked and walked up and down the streets checking out the stores and the sales.
Then I headed over to Gypsies for a Butter Beer Smoothie. I wanted to get lunch too but the Deli was closed when I got there. I had so much fun and although I didn't walk that far compared to how long I was there I am counting it as part of my exercise because it got me out of the house and moving.
Later on last night we decided it was time to start training Butter on the leash. She tends to pull you along and I don't want her doing that when I run with her. We took an hour long walk and went a little over two miles. By the end of the walk she was walking with us about half the time and pulling us the other half. I am counting that as progress!
I have so much I want to do with this page but am not sure how to make it all work... enter Whit to save my sanity! Web life is good when you live with a computer nerd! We are going to work on the site tonight and hopefully make it what I wanted. If not it will just have to work the way it is!
Today's Stat's:

3.26miles.

letters d'amour en echange
I want to share something inspirational with you today. Whit and I sometimes communicate via letters to each other on the computer. Several months ago he left me a message that was so inspiring I asked him to write it down so that I could hang it and read it often. This is the message he left:
Bon jour mon Sexy Snowflake,
Good morning Beautiful, and welcome to your new adventures... I wish you luck with your new path. May many good things come your way, and I know you have the strength to get through the bad. You might consider training your Endurance!-)>(for putting up with Wal-Mart shit)
As a level 1 life warrior, you will have the heavenly shield of God, which provides excellent protection, though it may at times seem unreliable. You have also been supplied free will. Though providing endless positive possibilities, it may at times turn to dark energy, and as such, should be kept in check by the individual. The Sword of Truth, Stubborn Knife of Individuality, and the powerful Staff of the Strong Minded, will be at your disposal in your new walk. Your items will build strength with progressive levels.
The Town of Jennslife is seeing some rough times at the hands of the horrible villain Poorhealth, who has joined forces with the massive armies of Negativethoughts. Together they have fought against the good people of the pleasant town, and now the townsfolk have come to you to save them. They come to you, knowing you have the strength and wisdom needed to defeat the assault and restore order to Jennslife. You will find many obstacles, quests, journeys, and choices, but you may also find a new weapon, or piece of armor.
You will also find friends and family willing to join in your battles. I know I will be available to help with many of your battles, though I'm not always available, for my village is at war as well. For now, good luck, good day, and I love you.
Whit
Did I mention that we are nerds? We were both into the game AdventureQuest at the time of this message and I was in a stressful job that I hated and also dealing with several health problems. Since then I have been trying again and again to get my life and health in order. I have had ups and downs over the months but through it all Whit has been by my side as much as I have let him. He really is an amazing man, and I do love him so.
I hope you all have found a little inspiration from this message, I know that I did. As long as Whit is by my side I will keep trying till I finally defeat Poorhealth and his armies of Negativethoughts. I will save the town of Jennslife, I have to, it's my town.

The Eowyn Challenge
Aragorn - "What do you fear my lady?"
Éowyn - "A cage. To stay behind bars until use and old age accept them and all chance of valor has gone beyond recall or desire."
Aragorn - "You are a daughter of Kings! A Shieldmaiden of Rohan! I do not think that will be your fate"

The Eowyn Challenge
And finally an echo of my inner thoughts...I found something interesting today that sounds like fun for all nerd kind. Walking the path of the Tolkien books is not only a great way to get fit and active but also a great goal setter and lots of fun to. Well lots of fun for LOTR nerds anyhow. The web site is helpful in tracking mile stones like from Hobbiton to the Buckleberry Ferry or to Bree!

"The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say."
I am going to start walking/jogging/running/biking from Hobbiton to Rivendell today. It will be cool to look up my progress on the site and let you all know where I am at on the LOTR map. Anyone care to join me? It's only 458 miles, then we get to meet Elves! (Like this one!!!!)
The web site suggests that you give yourself a deadline for how long you are going to take to make the walk, however I don't intend on giving myself a deadline. I will be happy just to make it to the city of the elves and at the mileage I am going at currently it will take almost a year to get there.

Sam: "This is it."
Frodo: "This is what?"
Sam: "If I take one more step, it'll be the farthest away from home I've ever been."
Frodo: "Come on Sam. Remember what Bilbo used to say: 'It's a dangerous business…' [Bilbo's voice] '…Frodo, going out your door. You step onto the road, and if you don't keep your feet, there's no knowing where you might be swept off to.'"
Treebeard: I always like going South; somehow, it feels like going downhill.

Sad, Sad, News!
Did you all know that Bozo the Clown is dead? Well I just found out today and want to know why no body told me sooner! I am torn apart by this. So here is a small tribute to the man under the big red hair.
I remember watching Bozo the clown when I was a kid. Sitting in my pajama's on the floor with a bowl of cereal. It's sad that more children won't get to have this memory.
He may not have been the first Bozo, or the last Bozo but he was definitely the best Bozo.
Rest in Peace Bozo, you will be missed.

Ok! It would seem that this is frustrations week. I have gained weight again. I have an injury. My dog drives me crazy. I am not showing much in the way of progress. I was so proud of myself last week but I must be slacking off or something because nothing is working out like it should.

A Picture Worth a Thousand Words
I HAVE THUNDER THIGHS.
AND THAT'S A COMPLIMENT
BECAUSE THEY ARE STRONG
AND TONED
AND MUSCULAR
AND THOUGH THEY ARE UNWELCOME
IN THE PETITE SECTION
THEY ARE CHEERED ON IN MARATHONS.
FIFTY YEARS FROM NOW
I'LL BOUNCE A GRANDCHILD ON MY THUNDER THIGHS
AND THEN I'LL GO OUT FOR A RUN.
JUST DO IT
NIKEWOMEN.COM
MY BUTT IS BIG
AND ROUND LIKE THE LETTER C
AND TEN THOUSAND LUNGES
HAVE MADE IT ROUNDER
BUT NOT SMALLER
AND THAT'S JUST FINE
IT'S A SPACE HEATER
FOR MY SIDE OF THE BED
IT'S MY AMBASSADOR
TO THOSE WHO WALK BEHIND
IT'S A BORDER COLLIE
THAT HERDS SKINNY WOMEN
AWAY FROM THE BEST DEALS
AT CLOTHING SALES
MY BUTT IS BIG
AND THAT'S JUST FINE
AND THOSE WHO MIGHT SCORN IT
ARE INVITED TO KISS IT.
JUST DO IT
NIKEWOMEN.COM
And a little something for Whit and Mary...
What more can I say!
Happy Training,
Love Jenn
